The Company
Our client is a rapidly growing investment and financial advisory firm providing analytical, portfolio management, and financial strategy services to institutional and private clients. Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Junior Financial Analyst to join their analytics and reporting team.
This is an ideal role for candidates with a strong analytical mindset and a genuine interest in financial modelling, investment analysis, and performance reporting. The successful candidate will receive full training and structured development in line with the firm’s analyst pathway.
The Role
You will work closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers to support the preparation of financial models, investment reports, and data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate business and investment performance
- Collect, clean, and analyse financial and market data
- Assist with investment performance reporting and fund valuation support
- Conduct variance and sensitivity analysis for forecasts and budgets
- Prepare data visualisations and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients
- Support compliance reporting and risk assessments in line with FCA guidelines
The Candidate
- Degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a quantitative discipline preferred (not essential if highly numerate)
- Strong analytical and numerical ability
- Advanced Excel and good understanding of financial formulas and modelling principles
- Familiarity with data tools (Power BI, Tableau, or SQL) advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A solid understanding of FCA and PRA regulatory frameworks is required
