About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Investment Banker to join a leading UK investment bank. This role provides direct exposure to live transactions, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and client advisory services. You will work alongside senior bankers on high-value deals, gaining experience across debt, equity, and structured finance products.
The position offers a comprehensive three-month immersion program, combining practical deal experience with structured workshops on financial modelling, valuation techniques, market strategy, and client engagement. You will also participate in interactive simulations, shadow senior bankers on live deals, and attend targeted masterclasses to accelerate your understanding of investment banking processes. Early exposure to deal execution and client interaction ensures rapid professional development.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Analysis & Modelling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess corporate valuations, deal structures, and investment opportunities.
• Transaction Support: Assist in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Market & Sector Research: Conduct detailed market analysis and competitive intelligence to support client pitches and internal strategy.
• Deal Documentation: Prepare pitch books, investment memoranda, and due diligence reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and conference calls, supporting senior bankers in delivering high-quality advisory services.
• Collaboration: Work closely with risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure all transactions adhere to regulatory standards.
About You
• Recent graduate in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg terminals highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a client-facing mindset.
• Expected to be working towards becoming a certified Investment Advisor within UK CPD standards.
